Five Tips to turn heads

Preparing your home for sale or getting the property just right, is one of the most important things an owner can do to contribute to a successful sale. It takes an experienced eye to know exactly what each individual property would benefit from but here are five general top open inspection tips.

1. Make sure the front path and verandah have been swept and mow the lawn. A clean start gives people a good feeling about what they are about to see.
2. If the weather is cold, put any heaters on or get the fireplace going. It will not only make your home appear inviting and cosy it will also show people they work. Alternatively, if it hot, put the air conditioner on or open windows. You want people to feel comfortable in your home.
3. Put out clean towels in the bathroom and tea towels in the kitchen.
4. Turn your house phone and answering machine off or divert the calls so that no calls can come through.
5. To keep the house looking and feeling bright during the day, have some lights on.
